InfiMaker is expanding access to advanced desktop manufacturing as its latest funding round supports the company’s global growth ambitions.
InfiMaker, a China-based developer of advanced desktop CNC manufacturing technology, announced two significant business milestones following the launch of its K1 desktop five-axis CNC machine: its Kickstarter campaign has surpassed US$4 million in pledges, and the company has completed a new funding round featuring an investment of tens of millions of U.S. dollars from IDG Capital.
The milestones mark a significant step in InfiMaker’s efforts to make advanced manufacturing technology more accessible to engineers, designers, independent creators, educators, and small businesses worldwide.

The maker industry is moving beyond just 3D printing toward a hybrid future of additive and subtractive desktop manufacturing. Today’s designer uses 3D printing for prototypes, CNC for metal parts, and laser cutters for enclosures. The future workshop isn’t one machine but several digital manufacturing tools working together.
That is the idea behind Infimaker’s K1: a compact 5-axis CNC platform. AI-assisted workflow enables users with little CAM background to create precision parts. It is designed to bring professional-grade five-axis CNC machining to a broader range of users who are seeking for prototyping, product development, and small-scale manufacturing.
InfiMaker officially launched the K1 on Kickstarter on August 11. The campaign generated more than US$1.5 million in pledges within its first 24 hours and subsequently surpassed US$4 million in total pledges, with support from more than 700 backers.
The response highlights growing interest in desktop manufacturing solutions.

Separately, InfiMaker has completed a new funding round that included an investment of tens of millions of U.S. dollars from IDG Capital, alongside participation from other investors.
The company’s previous investors include Kunlun Capital, MiraclePlus, and Meituan’s Strategic Investments.
The new funding will support InfiMaker’s continued investment in core technology, product development, operational capabilities, and international market expansion. As demand for more accessible advanced manufacturing tools grows, the company aims to further develop its product portfolio and expand the reach of its desktop CNC technology.
